Dr. Randy smith
Having served at Grace Church for more than 15 years, Pastor Randy is a committed student of the Word who loves inspiring others to see that all 1189 chapters of the Bible are totally worth their attention. He is married to Dottie, mother of their three grown children. He’s a city boy living in the country, but he still hasn't warmed up to twangy music.
In addition to his teaching responsibilities at Grace, he is director of Global Vision Outreach, Inc. (a relief mission), leads Great Commission Bible Institute and operates Christian Travel Study Programs, Inc. by regularly leading tours through the lands of the Bible, including Israel, Jordan, Egypt, Turkey, Greece and Italy.
Of the three pastors on staff at Grace, Matt has called Highlands county home the longest. He’s been part of the team for 12 years, bringing a heart for people and much needed management skills to the multi-faceted ministry of Grace. He has two teenage sons with his wife Kris, who is a talented graphic designer. He’s a passionate football dad who roots hard for Avon Park High School’s Red Devils.
When he isn’t busy managing three campuses and Kid City Daycare, he serves with Inspire Pastors Network as Director of Regional Shepherds.
After moving to Sebring in the fall of 2011 to attend Great Commission Bible Institute, Ben was hired to launch the GCBI Media project while being trained for pastoral ministry. He has served in his current role of Campus Pastor for a year and half. He and his wife Meredith, an elementary school teacher, are proud owners of their pup Pepper and enjoy jogging and CrossFit, respectively.
His responsibilities include preaching, visitation, small groups, and leadership within the Sebring campus of Grace. He’s also a freelance media professional, doing business as Coffee House Media.
Administrative Assistant and Youth Director
Ever since attending Great Commission Bible Institute in 2011, Patrick has been involved in ministry at Grace. He took over the role of Youth Director in 2014 after leading alongside Ryan Gagnon, who moved to Ocala to replant that campus. In 2017 he took on additional responsibilities as the Administrative Assistant. He just married Emily, who grew up at Grace and teaches 2nd graders. Their big fans of the Gators, and tolerate each others NFL affiliations: Tampa and Pittsburgh…
Patrick’s job includes bookkeeping for all three Grace campuses and Kid City, schedule, communications, and office management, plus leading the youth ministry team.
Assistant to the Pastor
Orrin, Kara, and their three daughters moved from Ohio to be part of the team at Grace in the winter of 2018. They met serving in ministry together at Word of Life, and spent the following decade in youth ministry. Orrin is a tech enthusiast and amateur ornithologist.
Orrin’s role at Grace is part-time and developmental. As he receives training to be a campus pastor, he is serves in a wide variety of roles, including worship, teaching, and mentoring. He also is the sole proprietor of Witt’s End Computer Service.
Children’s Ministry Director
Carrie was originally introduced to Grace Church through her involvement at Great Commission Bible Institute, but after a few twists and turns found herself leading children’s ministry at Grace. She recently married Robert, who manages a restaurant in town.
Carrie has a passion for teaching kids about the Bible, and her part-time role at Grace is only half of her ministry. She works a full-time job at Kid City Daycare, leading the after-school program.
Jesse essentially grew up at Grace Church, as his step father once served as pastor here. His ministry here started at 16, serving as a student intern under Pastor Ben (then just Assistant to the Pastor). After graduating high school, he received a scholarship through Grace Church to attend Great Commission Bible Institute. He married Zoe in 2017, and they are now expecting a baby boy. They are also fostering to adopt.
Jesse’s new role as Worship Director puts him in the forefront of planning Sunday morning and leading the music team. In addition to his part-time role at Grace, he works full-time as a Customer Service Representative with Glass Bottle Outlet.
